Longing to be swept away.

Maybe.

Maybe I have been devastated so often by the ending of relationships, and the agonizing aftermath, that I covered up my heart.

And ignored that simple fact.

Maybe.

Maybe I was SO afraid to fully love just for the sake of it, that I’d rather pretend I don’t need it, because needing it would be too painful.
