Member-only story
You do you, and I’ll do me.
I don’t read newspapers.
I don’t watch the news (although enough seeps through anyway).
And I have refrained from these things for almost ten years.
Some people would call me uninformed, or naïve.
Choosing the easy way out.
Not taking my responsibility as a citizen.
Not caring for the world and the planet.
Or the future.
And this is what I have to say to them:
Nothing.
Because I feel no need whatsoever to convince anybody or to defend myself.
It’s simply a matter of preferences.
No big deal.
Read, listen, watch and discuss whatever you want, and do with it what you feel is important or wise.
And I’ll do the same.
We’re not that different.
Do you, and I’ll do me.
It’s not a big deal.
